Course Syllabus

 

Mathematics: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class 9 Mathematics syllabus is structured to enhance analytical and problem-solving skills. It includes Number Systems, exploring real numbers; Algebra, focusing on polynomials and linear equations; Coordinate Geometry, introducing the Cartesian plane; Geometry, covering theorems related to lines and angles; Mensuration, dealing with areas and volumes; and Statistics and Probability, teaching data interpretation and basic probability concepts.

 

Science: The Science syllabus integrates Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to provide a holistic understanding of natural phenomena.

  • Physics: Topics include Motion, studying speed and velocity; Force and Laws of Motion, understanding Newton's laws; Gravitation, covering universal law and free fall; Work and Energy, focusing on work done and kinetic energy; and Sound, exploring its nature and propagation.

     

     

  • Chemistry: Students learn about Matter in Our Surroundings, understanding states of matter; Is Matter Around Us Pure, focusing on mixtures and solutions; Atoms and Molecules, delving into chemical reactions; and Structure of the Atom, exploring atomic models.


     

  • Biology: The curriculum covers The Fundamental Unit of Life, studying cells; Tissues, understanding plant and animal tissues; Diversity in Living Organisms, focusing on classification; Why Do We Fall Ill, exploring health and diseases; and Natural Resources, emphasizing conservation.

     

     

English: The English syllabus aims to enhance linguistic and literary skills. It includes Reading Comprehension, focusing on understanding unseen passages; Writing Skills, covering letter writing, paragraph writing, and email messages; Grammar, teaching determiners, modals, prepositions, conjunctions, sentence structures, voice, narration, non-finites, and tenses; and Literature, analyzing prose and poetry from prescribed texts.

Social Studies (SST): The SST syllabus encompasses History, studying events like the French Revolution; Geography, covering physical features and climate; Political Science, focusing on democracy and constitutional design; and Economics, understanding poverty and resource management.
